The Bucksburn church has around since 1843 so has seen a number of changes over the years. originally built as Newhills Free Church. The founding members had a strong committent to

  • The worship of God
  • The Gospel of Christ
  • Service to the local community.

Preaching in Bucksburn Stoneywood ChurchHence the style and shape of the building. It still is a category C listed building.

Following the merger of two churches in 1989 The building is now used by Bucksburn Stoneywood church. (See more about the history of the two churches here)

Bucksburn Stoneywood Church here in Aberdeen is still a church that holds true to the three principles of the church founders mentioned above. We have a strong committent to bible based teaching with the main sermon usually following a planned series around a book of the Bible or another central theme. Following the service on the first Sunday of each month everyone i s encouraged to stay for a coffee or cup of tea in the Church hall. Stay behind and meet us.

We meet up on alternate Thursday mornings from 10 to 11:30 am for a fly cuppa and fine piece. However even better than that that you will get to mix with local people and have a really fantastic blether whilst you are relaxing with your cuppa.
